Ranskan ehkä kuuluisin sirkuskoulu CNAC tarjoaa sirkusammattilaisille monipuolista täydennyskoulutusta. Yksityiskohtaiset ja ajantasaiset tiedot löydät koulun sivuilta TÄÄLTÄ. Intensive practical training, lectures, discussions and the conference programme.
Participants: actors of physical, dramatic, dance and musical theatres,
dancers, choreographers, circus performers, directors.
The working language is English. The nearest airport is Graz Thalerhof. The programme will take place at the historic 15th century castle.
Accommodation and meals are organized for the group.

School for Professional Formation in Circus arts FLIC
Circus school was established in 2002 by the Reale Società
Ginnastica di Torino, it is one of the most ancient gymnastic
societies, born in 1844. The successful marriage between sports and
educational tradition of the Royal Society of Turin and the circus
artistic initiative makes this school a reference point in the circus
artists preparation. FLIC Circus School, through its two year training
course, creates professional artists whit good physical preparation,
technique and art forms, and who possess a wealth of design skills,
relationship and organizational measures to confront themselves to the
international contemporary circus world.

ADVANCED COURSE FOR CONTEMPORARY CIRCUS ARTIST
FLIC Circus School in Turin for the first time lunches an Advanced Course for Contemporary Circus artists reserved to those students who have passed the Professional Biennial Course and the professionals of the sector that show to have the right abilities to participate in the course.
The parties must email curriculum vitae to the reception office of FLIC to segreteriaflic(a)realeginnastica.it within 10th September 2010. They will get in contact to fix an interview with the didactic direction of the School. The course will take place from October 2010 to June 2011.

International Conference "Performing Arts Training Today"

Circus and street arts - Artistic residency centres in Europe
Circostrada Network has posted a series of directories, available to download, of artistic residency centres that are specialised in the street and circus arts, or that host artists from these sectors. These practical tools are available to teams and offer detailed information categorised by geographical area so as to assist in their search for existing opportunities, in the professionalisation of their practices and in the development of their international mobility.
We have received many responses to our call published on the website www.circostrada.org. This call was widely publicised by our partner organisations and we would like to thank them for taking the time to circulate and share the information within the required timeframe.
We also wish to ensure those using the databases that these files are regularly updated by our team and will be filled out as residency locations from within Europe and beyond express their interest. These practical tools will develop and improve thanks to the feedback that we receive from you.

For Winter 2010 and Spring 2011 Arteles is calling open-minded
creative participants from all disciplines such as music/sound, fine
art, photography, contemporary research, film/video, multidisciplinary arts, installation, painting, new media etc. Also other fields of creativity are now open such as graphic design and fashion. The selection of artists is done by the Arteles administration along with selected network members or invited creative professionals.
We are looking for surprising and compelling project proposals, a
strong desire to develop one s artistic career and an applicant who
will contribute to Arteles vision and its community.

HAKU SAAREN KARTANON RESIDENSSIIN ON ALKANUT
Saaren kartano on Koneen Säätiön ylläpitämä taiteilija- ja
tutkijaresidenssi. Residenssi tarjoaa suomalaisille ja ulkomaisille eri
alojen taiteilijoille ja kriitikoille mahdollisuuden 2-3 kuukauden
mittaiseen intensiiviseen työskentelyjaksoon rauhallisessa
maaseutuympäristössä. Residenssivierailla on käytössään asunto ja työhuone, ja heille maksetaan työskentelyapurahaa.
Myös taiteilijaryhmät voivat hakea tiloja käyttöönsä määräajaksi. Ryhmät voivat hakea oleskelun ajaksi ryhmäresidenssitukea. Erityisesti toivotaan hakemuksia, joissa on yhteistyötä suomalaisten ja ulkomaisten taiteilijaryhmien välillä. Hakemuksen lähettää suomalainen taho.
Hakuaika on 1.-31.8.

Map programme: call for applications
Initiated by the Pépinières européennes pour jeunes artistes, the map programme proposes residencies opportunities for young artists, to built new plural projects and meet new audience. This programme is open to artists from all artistic field between 18 and 35 years old.
Hosting structures are KIK (Netherlands), AKI / ARTez Enshede (Netherlands) and Clube Português de Artes e Ideias (Portugal).
A second call for the 2011 residencies should be launched at the autumn.
The application deadline is the 16th of August 2010.
